Coface Services South Asia Pacific Platform

(SAP Platform) has under its wing -- Coface Singapore, Coface Credit Management Services, Kompass South East Asia, Coface Services Thailand, Coface Services Malaysia, Coface India Credit Management Services, Coface Services Australia, Coface Finance Australia and Coface Credit Management  (Australia).

SAP Platform strives to position itself as a leading trade credit insurer offering an array of receivables management solutions, including credit information and @rating, as well as marketing information. It is thus different from typical insurers who are sole providers of trade credit insurance.

SAP Platform offers credit insurance, credit management and @rating services, with Singapore and India offering Kompass marketing information. October 2004 saw the successful launch of the Bond and Guarantee business in Singapore, effectively extending our range of credit services. Recently, Coface Singapore has also added factoring as one of its service offering, enabling us to become Singapore's first total receivables management solutions provider.

With a total staff strength of 118, SAP Platform’s objective is to assist companies in sourcing and expanding their customer books, and in managing their customer credit risk through proposing a full array of credit insurance and management solutions.

 Credit Insurance

With the exception of Singapore and Australia, credit insurance is marketed through local partnership and through brokers in the respective SAP countries.

Credit insurance in India is marketed through ECGC, ICICI Lombard, IFFCO-Tokyo Marine General Insurance Company and through brokers like Aon and Marsh. In Thailand, local partners include AXA Thailand, Phatra Insurance and SAMAGGI and Thai Exim. Coface Services Malaysia has among its partners – AXA Affin Assurance. Hong Leong Assurance and EXIM Bank. More information on Coface India is available on www.cofaceindia.com

Coface Services Australia is the latest addition to the Platform since its official incorporation in June 2004, with the taking over of DEXTA’s trade credit insurance book. The new entity’s objective is to cater for Australian corporates’ credit risks, both domestic and export. On 22 September 2005, Coface Services Australia obtained its Australian Financial Services License, enabling it to directly show up in the market and sell its key products, both locally and to key subsidiaries of overseas multinationals. More information on Coface Australia is available on www.coface.com.au

Means of marketing of our local offer are achieved through organization of, as well as participation in, strategic conferences and seminars. Efforts are focused on building strong relationships with various Business Associations, Chambers of Commerce and Trade Promotion bodies.

Coface has won the bid to be the lead underwriter for tranche  3 of Loan Insurance Scheme (LIS). LIS 3 is  a high profile Singapore government initiated program. This scheme offers alternative access to financing for small medium enterprises through the use of loan insurance. It covers insolvency risk of the borrower granted with facilities under the scheme (such as stock financing facility, structured pre-delivery working capital loan, and others). Seven key financial institutions participate in this program.
